Annex of the Year 2023 to the Regulations on the International Composers’ Competition for the Best Obligatory Piece to Be Performed at Round Two of Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory’s International Competition of Performers on Wind and Percussion Instruments

A.1. General Provisions

A.1.1. The full official name of the competition is The Fourteenth International Composers’ Competition for the Best Obligatory Piece to Be Performed at Round Two of Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory’s Fourteenth International Competition of Performers on Wind and Percussion Instruments; hereinafter to be referred to as “the 14th Composers’ Competition for the 14th Wind/Percussion Competition” (briefly “WPC”).

A.1.3. The dates of holding the 14th Composers’ Competition for the 14th WPC is from 11 until 20 September 2023 inclusive.

A.1.4. The following pieces are announced obligatory for their performance at Round Two of the 14th Composers’ Competition for the 14th WPC (hereinafter to be referred to as “the Piece”):

  • (1) a piece for solo flute;
  • (2) a piece for solo tuba.

A.2. The Prizes of the 14th Composers’ Competition for the 14th Wind/Percussion Competition

A.2.1. The Organizing Committee shall announce the following two monetary prizes for the best pieces:

  • A.2.1.1. for solo flute: 25,000 (twenty-five thousand) rubles;
  • A.2.1.2. for solo tuba: 25,000 (twenty-five thousand) rubles.

A.3. The Jury of the 14th Composers’ Competition for the 14th Wind/Percussion Competition

A.5. Submission of the Application and the Piece

A.5.1. In order to participate in the 14th Composers’ Competition for the 14th WPC, every applicant must:
A.5.1.1. fill out an online application;
A.5.2.1. forward to the Organizing Committee’s official e-mail address the score of the Piece as a PDF file signed by the applicant’s password only, with no name on it.

A.5.4. The deadline for submission of both the online application and the score of the solo Piece in order to participate in the 14th Composers’ Competition for the 14th WPC is 10 September 2023.
