The 15th International Composers’ Competition for the 15th International Wind/Percussion Competition

Annex of the Year 2024 to the Regulations on the International Composers’ Competition for the Best Obligatory Piece to Be Performed at Round Two of Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory’s International Competition of Performers on Wind and Percussion Instruments

A.1. General Provisions

A.1.1. The full official name of the competition is The Fifteenth International Composers’ Competition for the Best Obligatory Piece to Be Performed at Round Two of Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory’s Fifteenth International Competition of Performers on Wind and Percussion Instruments; hereinafter
to be referred to as “the 15^th Composers’ Competition for the 15^th Wind/Percussion Competition” (briefly “WPC”).

A.1.3. The dates of holding the 15^th Composers’ Competition for the 15^th WPC are from 16 until 23 September 2024 inclusive.

A.1.4. The following pieces are announced obligatory for their performance at Round Two of the 15^th Composers’ Competition for the 15^th WPC:

• (1) a piece for solo marimba (hereinafter to be referred to as “Piece ‘M’”);
• (2) a piece for woodwind quintet (hereinafter to be referred to as “Piece ‘Q’”).

A.2. The Prizes of the 15^th Composers’ Competition for the 15^th Wind/Percussion Competition

A.2.1. The Organizing Committee shall announce the following two monetary prizes:

• A.2.1.1. for the best Piece ‘M’: 25,000 (twenty-five thousand) rubles;
• A.2.1.2. for the best Piece ‘Q’: 25,000 (twenty-five thousand) rubles.

A.3. The Jury of the 15^th Composers’ Competition for the 15^th Wind/Percussion Competition

Members of the Jury will be announced later.

A.5. Submission of the Application and the Piece

A.5.1. In order to participate in the 15^th Composers’ Competition for the 15^th WPC, every applicant must:
A.5.1.1. fill out an online application;
A.5.2.1. forward to the Organizing Committee’s official e-mail address:
(a) the score of Piece ‘M’ as a PDF file or
(b) the score and the parts of Piece ‘Q’ as PDF files.

A.5.2.2. Each PDF file has to be signed by the applicant’s password only (hereinafter to be referred to as
“the Password”), with no name on it.

A.5.2.3. Every author of Piece ‘Q’ has to make sure that the Password on its score is identical to
the Password on each part.

A.5.4. The deadline for submission of both the online application and the score of the solo Piece in order
to participate in the 15^th Composers’ Competition for the 15^th WPC is 15 September 2024.
