Anton Igubnov graduated, with academic honors, from Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory (2013) and later completed his postgraduate studies (2015) at the class of Prof. Alexei Nasedkin, People’s Artist of Russia. Teaching Assistant of Prof. Vladimir Ovchinnikov, People’s Artist of Russia (since 2015).

Grantee of the Prefect of the Moscow Central Administrative District (2007). Awardee of the governmental prize in the nomination They Possess the Future (2008). Laureate of several national and international piano competitions, including: the Youth Tchaikovsky Competition in Kurashiki (Japan, 2004) and the Johannes Brahms Competition in Pörtschach am Wörthersee (Austria, 2010), as well as of the Piano Concerto Competition in Shenzhen (China, 2011), the Edvard Grieg Competition in Bergen (Norway, 2012), and others. Winner of the Audience Favorite Prize on numerous occasions.

The pianist has collaborated with many groups in Russia, including: the Symphony Orchestras of the Governors of Vladimir and Yaroslavl Regions, as well as the Exemplary Symphony Orchestra of Russia’s National Guard Troops and others. He is actively engaged in various artistic activities, performing concerts and teaching workshops at international music festivals and forums all over the world. In 2018, Anton Igubnov composed the vocal cycle Gallery of Reflections based on his own poems. His first-ever concert solo piano arrangement of Rachmaninoff’s Symphonic Dances, timed to coincide with the 80th anniversary of the masterpiece in 2023, is forthcoming.
