Research Department for the Web-site Development has been called into life on December, 1, 2005.
Since November, 1, 2006 the Department bears a status of a scientific division by the decision of the Academic board of the Moscow conservatory.
Primary goals:
- maintenance the Web-site of the Conservatory as a reference, research-educational and image-making resource
- collecting, editing, scientific processing of information and its placement on the Web-site pages of the Conservatory
- building-up a historical information archive of the Conservatory
- cooperation with all structural divisions of the Conservatory for the fullest and duly reflection of the Conservatory daily events
- placement of information on the Web-site pages, not offending the laws and stipulations of the legal acts of the Russian Federation for official Web-sites of federal state educational institutions for higher learning
Last year our web-site turned out to be the only Internet-site of higher education institution which enrolled in the final stage of the experts’ and people’s voting for the 2007 Runet’s Premium.
This year the Moscow Conservatory Internet-site entered the same conquest again and became number 8 in the list of ten finalists, in Science and Education nomination.
Starting from 2008 our department has begun developing, supporting and promoting not only our principal site, but also launched The Russian Musician 2.0 portal that comprises articles, photographs and videos, including Musica Theorica section, alongside Moscow Conservatory Netlabel Fragilité which aims to spread and make propaganda of music by young conservatory’s composers throughout the world web.
The Internet-department in collaboration with YouTube video hosting service is now providing its own video channel.
The Department is located in the right wing of the main building of the Moscow conservatory on the ground floor (the Nikolay Myaskovsky building).
