The First International Gedike Organ competition is an important event in the life of the Moscow conservatory: the competition is held for the first time in 120 years’ history of the organ class. In the last few years we could see a growing interest for organ performance not only in Russia, but also abroad. Numerous organ competitions, constantly held in European countries are the proof for this. In September 2008 such a competition will be organized in Moscow.
