Conditions
- The 3rd International Valeri Kikta Organ Competition will
take place from June 12 to 16, 2008, inclusive, in the Concert
Hall “Na Kislovke” of the Central Music School of Moscow
Tchaikovsky State Conservatory (Moscow, Russia).
- The competition is open to organists of all nationalities,
born later than December 31rd, 1972.
- Competition consists of one round.
- Application for participation in the competition must be
made on the enclosed application form, which has to be
returned by April 15, 2008 (postmark). Applications should
comprise:
— a photocopy of passport or identity card
— references (certificates of institutions of learning,
details of awards and prizes)
— one passport photograph and one high gloss
photograph (size 10 x 15 cm)
- No more then fifteen applicants may participate in the
competition. The participants will be selected on the basis of
received materials. By May 15, 2008, the applicants will be
informed whether or not they have been selected as participants
in the competition.
- Entry to the competition is completely free of charge.
- The services of register assistant (Stop puller / Page turner)
can be provided by the Competition Secretary. The competitors
are allowed to bring along their own assistant for registration.
- Traveling costs must be paid by the competitors and their
assistants for registration. Cheap lodging is provided by the
Competition Secretary (about 10 EURO per person per night).
- All events may with the permission of the organizing
committee be:
— transmitted on radio and television
— recorded to be presented in news- and documentary
broadcasts
— photographed by the press
In these cases the competitors renounce all rights and royalities.

These rules are available in both Russian and English. However, in
the event of a dispute, the Russian version of the rules will apply.
Examinations
The order of performance will be decided by lot.
The events will be held in the Concert Hall “Na Kislovke” of
the Central Music School of Moscow Tchaikovsky State
Conservatory (Moscow, Russia).
The participants determined by Jury shall be obliged to perform
at a concert-conclusion of competition.
Jury
There will be the famous musicians of both Russian and other
nationalities in the jury.
The decision of the jury is final.
The jury has in its power to award special prizes, diplomas,
certificates, to divide a prize between two competitors or not to
award any prizes and diplomas.
Prizes and awards
First Prize – 1500 USD and the title of laureate
Second Prize – 1000 USD and the title of laureate
Third Prize – 500 USD and the title of laureate
Fourth Place – the title of laureate
Fifth Place – the title of laureate
Sixth Place – the title of diploma-winner
Seventh Place – the title of diploma-winner
