Anatoly Skobelev – People’s Artist of Russia, professor.
From 1974 to 1990 he was a soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre Orchestra, as well as a member of the Soloists Ensemble of the Bolshoi Theatre under Alexander Lazarev. From 1990 to 2004 he was a soloist of the Russian National Orchestra, director of the “Low Brass” ensemble, which was a section of the Russian National Orchestra. It was the first Russian ensemble which was invited to take part in the “International trombone association” (ITA) (Germany, 1992). Among A. Skobelev’s former students are the winners of International competitions, alongside soloists of Russian major orchestras.
